All premises using terrestrial internet services will be provided with a static IPv6 address. This is because the world ran out of IPv4 addresses in 2019. A static IP address is essential for other resources with regards to communications. With that in mind, Kaldus has no choice but to provide for IPv6 addresses. Any IPv4 addresses that are allocated to Kaldus will be used for other reasons, but will not be available for public use. There will be no way the world will run out of IPv6 addresses, and while that might have been thought with IPv4 at one time, each person can have more than 1,000 devices, and each device can have a unique address. This obviously means that each premise can have at least one static IPv6 address.
In the event that there is a need for additional IP addresses, the customer will go through their ISP in receiving additional addresses. This could be a company wanting to host their website, or corporate intranet. Since there is more than an abundance of IPv6 addresses, acquiring additional addresses should be considered as affordable.
The first IP address is included with the service, however – additional IP address can be leased out for a monthly fee that would be added to the bill. Again, since each subscriber can have more than 1,000 IPv6 addresses, there is no concern for overuse. Still, the ISP will want to make money by providing for additional addresses.
