Ka-Tel will be the domain registrar for all of .ka domains. With that being said, there will be no allowance for other companies to provide .ka domains. Ka-Tel will set the prices for domain prices with only one condition. All domains for general use must be at least 4 characters long. This means someone can not acquire me.ka. In addition, there will be reserved domains. These domains are taken off the market and not available for general use. One example of this is bank.ka. This domain will belong to the Kaldan National Bank.
Anyone purchasing a .ka domain must setup an active account with Ka-Tel. If the customer does not have an account with Ka-Tel, then they will have to acquire a GAON to set up an account. More information on GAONs can be found at https://id.kaldus.org. This is a requirement for all customers to have an account with Ka-Tel for security reasons, and to reduce the chance of fraud, or misuse.
