Radio

Kaldus will support FM radio frequencies which is divided into 200khz increments and range from 88Mhz – 108Mhz. Each county can have their own set of radio stations. Obviously, radio signals are based on distance, and not county lines. With that being said, to reduce interference with neighboring counties, all radio antennas will be towards the center of the county. No matter what, 88.1FM is reserved for the national radio system. This station will provide for national notices, and warnings. For example, if there is a tornado warning, the resident can tune into 88.1FM and get updates. When there are not urgent warnings, or notices to call out, the station will be regulated by the government for other roles and purposes.

Every radio station will have their own call sign that will begin with R. This call sign must be unique, and different from any other station. The only exception to this rule will be RKLDS which will be the government radio station as mentioned in the previous paragraph. Each radio station will receive their own sub-domain ( https://callsign.fm.ka ). Each radio station must also be available online through the Kaldus radio app which will be available on all current smartphone options. This will be the reason for the unique callsigns for the radio stations.
