All TVs approved by the NSC will have to be a smart TV with an RJ45 port in the back of the TV. This will allow the consumer to setup their TV, plugged it into their LAN, and download the TV app for Kaldus. This app will be the channel selector, and the guide. One will not use the regular channel service with the TV. Basic Smart TVs will likely be relatively affordable, and should be relatively easy to acquire if the consumer only has a basic TV. If they can not afford a smart TV, they can acquire an adapter that would plug into the HDMI port much like a Roku or an Apple TV box. This will delay the purchase of a completely new TV, but this will likely be an option in the future.
